Parks and Rails is a fictional game created by Anton Hallmann to illustrate various game components. Nevertheless, it is built around a railroad and tile-laying mechanic.

In the game, you take on the role of one of four asymmetric tycoons in the 19th century. The government wants to make the West more attractive and therefore begins establishing national parks. Your task is to connect these parks, build new railroad lines, influence the government to open additional parks or develop existing ones, and bring tourists to these destinations.
