Isabel Seliger was born in Gera in 1984. She studied visual communication at the Kassel Art Academy, specializing in comics. After graduating, she moved to Berlin, where she has been working as a freelance illustrator for magazines, newspapers, and books. She is now an internationally renowned illustrator.

Her visual language is minimalist and narrative. Starting with small drawings in her sketchbook, she continues the process on the computer. Here she can experimentally combine structures until the images achieve their unique atmospheric look.
