Emmanuel Polanco comes from an art-loving Parisian family. He finds inspiration for his paintings in art and wants to transmit convincing ideas as simply and strikingly as possible. He works with reduced drawing and occasionally combines it into a collage. Emmanuel Polanco is curious and open to explore other countries. He got to know Sweden on his travels and appreciates the vastness of the country and and being close to nature. 2016, he moved with his girlfriend near Lake Norrtäljeviken and enjoys working in his new studio.

Emmanuel appreciates collaboration with theaters and museums and illustrates for advertising. His clients include Apple, The Royal Shakespeare Company, Theater an der Wien, Friedrich Naumann Foundation, LWL Museum of Art and Culture and many international magazines. He also designs book covers and children's books.

At the moment he is working on his own adaptation of the story »The Horla« (by Guy de Maupassant) as a graphic novel. This will be published in 2024.
